ActivityThe EA 3829 group research activity is based on strong collaborations with clinical teams in the fields of haematology and oncology. The main research topic of our research group is focused on the influence of the microenvironment on cellular proliferation and invasiveness. Our strategic thinking focuses on physiopathological processes regarding stem cells and malignant cells. Four main projects are currently developed: (1) proliferation of human stem cells in artificial matrix (coordinator: J.P. Vannier); (2) angiogenesis in acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) (coord. M. Vasse); (3) malignant cell aggressiveness, angiogenesis and vascular pathology (coord. H. Li); (4) development of the concepts of hyperstructures and functioning-dependent structures as the primary determinants of the phenotype; nanotechnology using secondary ion mass spectrometry for analysis of single combed DNA molecules and for single cell analysis of the proteome and transcriptome (coord. V. Norris). Our research is pursued in collaboration with national and international laboratories, including those in the European Network of Excellence "Nanobeams". Our team has an important technology transfer activity since the results of our program have major medical and industrial applications. |
