Quantif Medical Imaging group is one of 7 terms of the LITIS laboratory (Director: Thierry Paquet). The group aims at quantifying and characterizing healthy and pathological tissues using functional imaging modalities for humans and small animals (MRI, PET-CT, CT and SPECT-CT). The objective is to optimize radiation treatment for cancers. The developed techniques are based on image processing, machine learning and pattern recognition, information fusion, phantom studies (physical and numerical using Monte-Carlo simulations techniques). The group collaborates with different labs of Rouen University [Inserm U1245, COBRA,…] and is pilot of axe 3 of the north-west Cancéropôle (imaging and radiotherapy). The group has close collaborations with international teams (USA, Belgium, Germany, China,…) and industrial companies (Siemens, GE medical Systems, Aquilab, Dosisoft,...).
