Direct measurements of free radicals in human or animal blood and tissues , by EPR spectroscopy

Direct measurements of plasma nitrates (reflecting NO production) in humans

The facility received an ISO9001 quality certification in December 2012

  Main contributions

Development of EPR specroscopy for the measurements of free radicals in human blood and tissue in correlation with cardiovascular studies (Bellien et al. Circulation, 2012 ; Montaigne et al. J Am Coll Cardiol. 2013) or in hearts or arteries from experimental animals (Favre et al. Am J Physiol, 2011 ; Merabet et al. J Mol Cell Cardiol. 2012)

Use of chemiluminscence for the mesurements of NO , in relation with functional vascular studies, in human (Bellien et al. Hypertension 2012)  or experimental animals (Fréguin et al. Transplantation 2011).

Measurements of NO and free radicals in developing brain , in collaboration with Inserm ERI 28, Rouen (B Gonzalez) (El Ghazi et al. Neurobiol Dis 2012)
