CompositionThe PTP is constituted of 5 departments (Electrophoresis, Chromatography, Microsequencing, Mass Spectrometry and Biophysics), and occupies more than 500 m2 at the University of Rouen. The platform working is based on the mutualisation of equipments and information. In this aim, many initiatives have been taken, e.g., the creation of Management and Scientific Committees or the design of a fully dedicated website A qualified staff is apointed to the different departments of the Platform by the partners (an engineer has been recruited for the platform by INSERM), or put at the disposal by the different research groups. In total, about twelve fulltime equivalents (researchers, engineers) currently work on the platform and their mission has been oriented on the functioning, development and maintenance of specific area of instrumentation in the different platform departments. Researcher (CNRS et INSERM) : 5 Teachers : 10 Engineers: 7 |
ActivityThe platform is widely open to the 17 laboratories of our Institute, but also to national and foreign research groups. The platform is involved in five ANR projects and in many international programs. The platform is certified ISO 9001 (version 2008). The objective is to implement total quality by means of a global, structured procedure, which extends to all the activities of the platform and includes all the aspects of excellence: the satisfaction of external and internal users, the constant improvement of quality, the control of costs and lead times and innovation of processes. To help this process, an invention claim has been filled in 2007 for the development of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) dedicated to sample and data mining. |
