Research TopicsCyFlow is a flow cytometry facility devoted to multi-parametric cell phenotyping and multi-parametric cell sorting. CyFlow is located in the research building of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy in Rouen. Public or private customers can access to CyFlow in different modalities. Depending on their need and their basic knowledge on flow cytometry they will be offered to use the facility either in “Autonomous utilization” after training, “Scientific collaboration” or “Request of service”. The access to the facility depends on the biosafety levels of the samples, and the affiliation of the customers (IRIB; University of Rouen; public organization; or private company). |

FacilitiesINSTRUMENTS FOR ANALYSIS: FACSCanto-I (BD Bioscience): 2 lasers fully digital analyzer with up to 6 colors simultaneous capability. Equipped with a carrousel loader for automated analysis of 40 tubes. FACSVerse (BD Bioscience): 2 lasers fully digital analyzer with up to 6 colors simultaneous capability. Equipped with a universal loader for automated analysis of 40 tubes rack or 96 well plates. This instrument is also able to perform absolute cell number counting without the need for calibration beads. Standardization of the instrument with dedicated beads allows highly reproducible results and multi-site studies. FACSFortessa (BD Bioscience): This new Fortessa analyzer is a sophisticated analytical instrument, used for complex analysis of cell samples. It has five lasers and is theoretically capable of up to 18-color analysis (12 colors with the today available fluorescence probes). This fully digital instrument is equipped with a HTS high-throughput automated sample loader, for rapid analysis directly of stained cells from culture plates. INSTRUMENT FOR CELL SORTING: FACSAria-I (BD Bioscience): The FACSAria cell sorters is used for complex sorting of cell samples based on multiple phenotypic parameters analyzed simultaneous. This fully digital instrument is a high-speed cell sorter equipped with 2 lasers and capable of up to 6-color simultaneous fluorescence analysis. No optical alignment is required and compensation and drop-delay calculation are automated. The instrument can also be used for single cell cloning in 96 well plates. |
ActivityMain activitiesCyFlow offers the use of different multi-parametric flow cytometry analyzers and one high-speed FACS cell sorter. The technical characteristics and advantages of each of these apparatus are described below. This apparatus are used for the following applications and studies:
